As I have gone about collecting advice for newly or soon-to-be retired people, there seems to be a theme:
Don’t wait. Do it now. Step out of your comfort zone.
Wouldn’t we hate to get to the end, wishing we had done those things we had always dreamed of doing? Life truly is about collecting experiences. So I wish you a wonderful weekend, and I hope you enjoy every single moment of your Voyage!
Yes! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this exact topic for a while now. I don’t want to be full of regrets… there are no do-overs at the end.

Amen!
Inertia is so hard to break. I plan to continue challenging myself for as long as I am able. As Janis said – there are no-overs.

I agree that “do it now” is great advice for retirees. Regrets are one of the saddest things.

“Live life with no regrets” has been my adage since I was 20. So far, so good! 🙂

Your short but important message is a good reminder to make your time count. I like to imagine myself 30 years into the future, and think about what I hope I did with my life. By starting from the end and working backwards, this exercise always helps to keep me motivated, focused, and grateful.
