Encore Quotes – Travel Makes You Richer

Happy Friday, fellow Voyagers!  A couple of years ago we decided not to build a big fancy-schmancy new home, and instead, opted to sell our property so that we might pursue a wider range of experiences on the Voyage.  Best. Decision. Ever!!!  So this Friday finds me exploring and taking in all the funky sites, soaking up the flavor of this fine city.  Life truly is about collecting experiences…Not Stuff!  And so, as I sit here under the Public Market sign, drinking a Pumpkin Spiced Chai (cliche, I know…but so delicious!) I’m wishing you all a weekend full of rich exploration!

Back in the 90s when our boys were still quite young, we made the deliberate decision to stay in our small home and instead invest in life experiences. I’ve never regretted that decision … although the mother in me is sometimes concerned about the sense of adventure my now grown men have learned from us!! 😉

I love this quote. It speaks to all that we learn about others and ourselves when we step outside our comfort levels to see the world from a new perspective.

Thanks, Joanne! I agree completely! I always have at least the next adventure (or two) in the planning stages! We were on the plane coming home from Seattle when I turned to Jeremy and said, “So…where do you want to go next?” ~ Lynn

And, you don’t even have to buy travel. You could just jump in your car and go! 🙂 Or, jump on the bike and set out to explore, as I did this afternoon in sunny San Diego. Very enjoyable, indeed. Collecting experiences is so much more rewarding than collecting stuff. Isn’t that the truth.
